Q: How often will I be billed?
A: You will receive a monthly billing statement 10 days prior to your due date.

Q: What are my different payment options?

A: You can pay your bill by mail, automatic checking payments, over the phone, or by Western Union.

To establish automatic payment from your checking account, please contact Silvia Madariaga at

Q: I want to pay off my loan. How do I find out the payoff amount?
A: Please request a payoff by providing your name and account number which you can send via e-mail to customerservice@modernfinance.com. We will respond to you within 1 hour.

Q: Do I have to purchase insurance for my car? What type? How soon?
A: Yes, you must have insurance on your auto loan. We require that you provide comprehensive and collision coverage within 10 days from the date of your vehicle purchase.

The insurance carrier you provide must be licensed to operate in California with a “B” or better rating from A.M. Best Company.

If you fail to insure your vehicle yourself, Modern Finance may elect to add a lender’s single interest policy to your loan which provides only coverage to Modern Finance in the event of repossession of your vehicle.
